- G.D.C. & A. stands for Government Diploma in Co-operation and Accountancy. It is a diploma offered by G.D.C. & A. Board, Government of Maharashtra to provide qualified professionals to the ever growing Co-operative Sector. This sector needs people who can work with application and dedication. There is a need for standardization of operations in the Co-operative Sector. Thus, this diploma intends to provide a comprehensive knowledge with regards to the theoretical and functional aspects of this Sector.
- The growing urban lifestyle in Indian metros residing in housing societies,
particularly in State of Maharashtra,
has necessitated management of Housing Societies with more professional approach.
There is need of Managers in the Housing Societies having knowledge of Housing Management
with professional approach.
The Maharashtra Government with the object of providing awareness and knowledge for
running and managing Housing Societies and also for maintenance of records, accounts and
certification of accounts of the housing societies introduced two courses as under:
G.D.C & A. is an unique Diploma offered by the government of Maharashtra with an objective to provide
qualified professionals in ever growing Co-operative Sector in Maharashtra.
(Examination is conducted by G.D.C & A. Board, Pune once in a year)
- This is a Post Graduate Diploma Offered by Co-operative Board of Maharashtra State.
After obtaining this diploma you are eligible to become Certified Auditor in Co-operative sector
after 3 years of work experience certificate. This Diploma opens up Employment,
Trade and Profession in the Co-operative sector and Employment opportunities in Co-operative Bank,
Credit Societies,
and Housing Societies.
- Every year examination is conducted in Last week of May.
Exam forms are released online on Co-operative Ministry of Maharashtra website by
last week of January and First Two Weeks of February. (Every Year)

- Ans. G.D.C. & A. Exam is conducted in the month of May every year.
- 2. Who are eligible to appear for G.D.C. & A. Exam?
- Ans. A graduate from any recognized University or S.S.C. passed persons who have at least 5 years’ experience of working in Co-operation department of Government or in any Co-operative Organisation / Society / Institution and are likely to be made permanent in the organization are eligible to appear for the exam.

ADMISSION PROCESS
- Coaching classes will start 1st October Onwards
- Class will be conducted every Sunday and Public Holidays for 5 hours so that working professional can also take benefit of it.
- Coaching Fees is Rs. 12,000. If the fees is paid in 2 instalment then the fees would be 14,000.
- Study Material and Question Bank would be provided to the student.
- A candidate interested in taking admission must pay an initial registration fees of Rs. 1,000. The balance amount of Rs 11,000/- can be paid on the starting day of batch.
- Cheque should be drawn in the name of The Institute of Practical Accounts.
